Monastery of St. John

.Manton House

Hermitage Sewing, by Emily Newbury.

The Brotherhood is no longer in the business of selling liturgical vestments, but Emily is picking up the slack and more. A professional seamstress for many years, Emily has now set up shop at the old site of our monastery: St. Eugene's Hermitage, in Pt. Reyes. She is offering Church Vestments, Ecclesiastical Wear, Traditional Brocades or Natural Fibers and her Finally it Fits! line of cassocks in American, Russian and Greek styles.

In addition to clerical attire, Emily offers technical sewing and design with high-tech 4-seasons fabrics. She can do all sorts of canvas work—everything from rain tunics to teepees.

Also available is Couture Fashion, natural and hand-loomed fabrics, wedding gowns, baptismal gowns, costumes and all sorts of creative apparel.

Whatever challenge you can dream up, we are confident Emily can put it together to full costumer satisfaction.
