On February 28th, the dome which once adorned our church in Pt. Reyes was placed on the metal frame of our new church in Manton. It had been lying in our backyard waiting for this day. It was hoisted up, put onto a truck and brought to the front yard. It was then hoisted again and then placed on top. The dormers from the old church had already been placed as you can see in the final photos. This dome has a history. It once topped the bell-tower of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in San Francisco and was originally a gift from Russia.
